(Cincinnati, Ohio – 03/15/2006) - The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces the ADAM-4117, a data acquisition module designed for reliable operation in harsh environments. Its built-in microprocessor, encased in rugged industrial-grade ABS plastic, provides intelligent signal conditioning, analog I/O, digital I/O, LED data display, and an address mode with a user-friendly design. Other ADAM-4117 features include: 8 differential and independently configurable channels, high noise immunity, broad power input range (+10~48VDC), LED display, and on-line firmware update. It supports both unipolar and bipolar inputs and has 1 kV surge protection on the power input, 3 kV ETF, and 8 kV ESD protection. It supports the popular Modbus/RTU protocol as well a simple ASCII based protocol.
