May 5, 2009 - The Vertical Pipetting Station from Agilent Automation Solutions, formerly Velocity11, delivers industry-leading speed and unparalleled performance for even the most demanding sample handling and liquid-transfer applications.The Agilent Vertical Pipetting Station features a choice of easily interchangeable 8-, 16-, 96-, and 384-channel heads. A high precision 2-axis positioning stage provides access to all quadrants of 96-, 384- and 1536-well microplates.Compact in design the Vertical Pipetting Station features eight pneumatic sliding shelves arranged on either side of the pipetting head permitting access to plates, while conserving deck space.
The shelves can be custom fitted with vacuum manifolds (to position warped PCR microplates), autofilling reagent shelves, or a tip-washing station. An intuitive user interface allows the operator to create and run complex pipetting protocols with ease.The Vertical Pipetting Station is powered by the proven Agilent VWorks Automation Control software, whose dynamic scheduling, easy-to-use interface, and innovative error recover technology allows complete control that is easy for all levels of operators.
