May 14, 2015 - Artila releases RIO-2018 web enabled thermocouple input module with three thermocouple input channels, one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, two isolated digital input channels and one relay output.
RIO-2018 is equipped with MAXIM MAX31855 cold junction compensation thermocouple converter and an industrial grade OMEGA connector is applied to ensure a seamless signal connection. The converter resolves temperature to 0.25°C allows readings as high as +1800°C and as low as -270°C. A fault detection of open thermocouple is also built in the converter. The isolated digital input and relay output can be assigned to monitor the external event and trigger alarm.
In addition to the web interface, RIO-2018 also supports Modbus TCP industrial protocol which makes it easily to integrate RIO-2018 into your automation project. For those people who want to develop their application software using RIO-2018, a Linux library, AIOLib is available and featuring a programmer friendly APIs.
