April 30, 2012 - Automation Systems Interconnect announces ASIUK5MTPP and ASIUDK4MTKPP knife disconnect terminal blocks. Disconnect terminal blocks are continuing to become more popular in measurement, regulation and control systems because they allow for the quick and safe, open testing of circuits. With the ASI knife disconnect terminal blocks, control loops and current transformer circuits can easily be inspected under zero voltage conditions.
The ASIUK5MTPP and ASIUDK4MTKPP have a current rating up to 15 amps at 600 volts and a wiring capacity of either 22-12 AWG or 30-10 AWG. The knife disconnect is color-coded orange to provide a visual indication of position. Knife disconnect terminal blocks are used to open up the circuit while inserting a meter for testing, such as in process control systems. The UL approved ASI knife disconnect terminal blocks are part of a new line of Phoenix Contact Equivalent terminal blocks. These blocks are identical in color, design, dimensions, materials and specifications.
Customers now have a true “equivalent” source and can save 30% to 50% and more by specifying the new equivalent terminal blocks and accessories online.
