November 17, 2006 - B&R Automation Studio now provides seamless integration of frequency inverters from Danfoss, KEB, Lenze, Schneider and SEW. This is made possible by the use of ETHERNET Powerlink, the only open industrial Ethernet network in series production. In this way, these inverters can easily be used in a system and can operate together with servo drives and I/O in a real-time network without problems.In B&R Automation Studio, the user only has to select the desired device and assign the variables in an intuitive dialog box.
The inverters are also configured using Automation Studio.In 1996, B&R successfully introduced Automation Studio, an integrated development environment for control, visualization, motion and communication, which provides customers with production and service support during programming and commissioning. Automation Studio provides scalability, multi-platform capability, and the flexibility to meet all programming requirements. From the simplest machine to the most complex process, this single configuration and programming tool covers all tasks and system platforms.
