Minneapolis, MN - November 13, 2007 - Comtrol Corporation introduces RocketPort EXPRESS in-server serial port expansion cards. RocketPort EXPRESS cards utilize Comtrol’s Unity ASIC chip for increased performance while providing reliable connectivity for serial devices such as printers, scanners, cameras and LCD screens. Also, these flexible serial cards are fully compatible with systems featuring x1, x2, x4, x8, x12 and x16 lane PCI Express expansion slots. The RocketPort EXPRESS product line, Comtrol’s latest family of multiport serial adapters, offers serial communication speeds of 921 Kbps for quad-cabled and octa-cabled products, while interface connected products communicate at up to 460 Kbps.
