EyeVision 2.5 software now has QR bar code reader functions.

April 13, 2011 - EyeVision 2.5 software now has QR bar code reader functions. The QR code reader works similar to the Data Matrix Code. The reader is searching automatically for a QR code in the image field, it then recognizes the code and reads the code content, which can be a text, an URL or measured values.

With the QR code reader and the completely reworked and even more powerful bar code reader, EVT has succeeded in making EyeVision software more productive. These highly efficient code reader functions for DMC, bar code, OCR/ OCV and now also QR, in combination with the drag-and-drop programming by the intuitive use of the graphical user interface of the EyeVision software, makes a fast and easy integration into various assignments possible. The new QR code reader and the upgraded bar code reader are the answer to the fast increasing demand for secure and easy-to-handle code and text reader systems. Due to that demand EVT offers the vision sensors EyeCheck QR und EyeCheck BC in addition to the existing EyeCheck DMC.

Also the new and now even more powerful bar code reader is recognizing the various bar codes completely automatically, evaluates the quality of the code and reads the characteristics in just a split second. The programming takes place as already known by the EyeSpector systems via the easy-to-handle drag-and-drop function of the graphical user interface of the EyeVision software. With only a few mouse clicks the user can program his very own individual code reader, without previous programming knowledge – easy, fast and efficient. The code reader systems can be combined optimally with the vision sensor series EyeCheck, with which they result in a dynamic team, which can be embedded in various process environments without the slightest effort.

The EyeCheck systems are available in various different specifications such as DMC, QR, bar code or OCR/ OCV. Besides the EyeCheck systems are also available as measuring sensor, solar sensor, object counter and many more. An overview can be obtained at the EVT homepage under Vision Sensors.
