April 14, 2011 - IEI Technology introduces support for the Intel Boot Loader Development Kit (Intel BLDK) in its product line-up. The Intel BLDK facilitates IEI products to boot up to an operating system within one second and supports comprehensive operating systems such as Windows CE, MeeGo, Linux, Moblin, Fedora and so forth. IEI’s product line-up supports the Intel BLDK, enabling users to bypass the use of complicated BIOS settings. The IEI products with Intel BLDK support are available on the solutions with Intel Atom processor Z530P or Z510P, the dual-core Intel Atom processor D525, and the Intel Atom processor E6xx series.
With the speedy boot times and effortless setting of the Intel BLDK, IEI products are better suited for use in transportation infotainment, multimedia devices, surveillance, and high speed network applications. IEI products with the Intel Atom processor Z530P or Z510P include the 3.5” embedded computer board, the WAFER-US15WP and WAFER-US15WP2, and Q7 CPU module, the iQ7-US15W. The general features include ultra low power consumption and H.264 video compression support capabilities.
