Industrial router and data modem via Wi-Fi into the Internet
Instead of a cellular modem the devices mbNET and mbSPIDER have a built-in Wi-Fi module.

MB Connect Line, provider of leading solutions for remote maintenance and industrial communication, extends its portfolio of industrial routers and data modems with new wireless models. Instead of a cellular modem the devices mbNET and mbSPIDER have a built-in Wi-Fi module. The routers and data modems can build up the connection to the Internet via a Wi-Fi access point, if a wired network is not available or shall not be used. For large new plants, the implementation of a Wi-Fi is more less expensive than installing new cables. Even mobile elements of the plant such as cranes can be connected via Wi-Fi easily.

Using the wireless connection, the user has all options open that the remote service platform mbCONNECT24 provides – data acquisition, web based visualization, supervision with alarming, remote maintenance and M2M communication. The Wi-Fi supports IEEE 802.11B/n/g with up to 150 MBit/s.
