July 27, 2011 - INSYS introduces ADSL 1.0 modems for industrial applications with high data volumes and have routing-capable devices such as PCs, PC-based controllers or MoRoS industrial routers. Thanks to high transfer rates for large amounts of data, low latencies, wide availability and low flat rate costs, the ADSL modem is ideally suited for remote access; e.g. in remote desktops, IP video cameras, or other applications in building services engineering.
ADSL data transfer units not only prevent extra expenses for unnecessary routing devices, but are also specifically designed for industrial use. The modems support the standards ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ for a maximum downstream speed of 25 Mb/s and are available with an Annex B specification for use in Germany as well as Annex A/M/L specifications for international use.
In order to connect a network via ADSL, an additional MoRoS industrial router is an ideal solution. Since various MoRoS types feature an integrated modem, they can be used to implement cost-efficient redundant solutions. A MoRoS UMTS connected to an ADSL modem, for instance, can be configured to automatically create a new connection if a connection is broken.
