September 7, 2011 - IXXAT introduces CAN-IB120/PCIe Mini CAN Interface, a PCIe Mini format board with two CAN channels and galvanically isolated interfaces which measures only 30 x 51 mm.
In addition to the passive CAN-IB100/PCIe and the active CAN-IB200/PCIe, both available as standard and low-profile versions, CAN-IB120/PCIe Mini now enables the implementation of a CAN interface in applications with limited space. CAN-IB100/PCIe and CAN-IB200/PCIe are characterized by their modular design concept. The cards are equipped with up to four high-speed CAN interfaces, optionally switchable to low-speed, and with up to four LIN or K-line interfaces. The galvanic isolation of the interfaces is available as an option. The modular architecture of the boards also enables the easy addition of customer-specific interfaces using piggyback modules.
For use in applications with high demands on data pre-processing, e.g. intelligent onboard handling and active filtering of messages to be sent and received, CAN-IB200/PCIe provides a powerful 32 bit microcontroller system. For the connection to the PC, IXXAT supplies the cards with its proven VCI driver (Virtual CAN Interface). The Windows driver supports all card interfaces and allows their usage both with customer-specific programs and with analysis and configuration tools from IXXAT.
The VCI driver also supports all other PC interfaces offered by IXXAT, which enables the user to easily switch the type of interface without any adaptation of the customer application. In addition, drivers for the real-time Windows extensions RTX and InTime as well as for Linux are available. The new and versatile interface board trio can be used both in industrial and automotive applications, and at a very attractive price while guaranteeing the high IXXAT quality standard and long term availability.
