Osceola, WI—October 26, 2005—Northwire Inc. has created a weblog, commonly known as a “blog”, an online resource that allows readers quick access to the most current information about Northwire and its products, as well as press releases, technical information, industry news, commentary and job openings. The weblog provides timely content that will be constantly updated and is available to anyone at www.northwire.com/weblog .
“The blog is a quick and easy way for customers to access information that is important and useful to them without having to sift through multiple websites or wait for news,” said Tom Collen, Director of Marketing for Northwire. “With this new technology we can reach our customers in a more timely fashion,” added Collen. While weblogs have existed since the early 1990s, Northwire is one of the first technological companies to adopt this innovative form of communication. Collen also stated that Northwire may add a discussion forum in the future to allow two-way communication with customers. Northwire will also introduce an RSS feed to the weblog in the near future.
This feature will allow syndicated information exchange between Northwire and other industry news links. RSS allows readers to see industry news summaries and access this information from a variety of news sources at one website without having to go to multiple sites for desired content. The RSS feed will also notify subscribers when new content has been added to the Northwire weblog.
