Certifications Awarded in Field of Safety Instrumented Systems

Bob Adamski, Premier Consulting Services director, and Robin McCrea-Steele, its director of business development, are the first to earn certification under this new international accreditation program.
The process industry safety specialists were certified as experts in safety instrumented systems (SIS). TÜV-ASI is part of TÜV Rheinland Group, which is widely recognized as a pioneer in developing standards and performance measures for SIS worldwide. The international standards group documents the safety and quality of new and existing products, systems and services." To achieve certification, candidates are expected to meet stringent requirements established by TÜV-ASI, which includes a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the functional safety field and recognition of technical competency by industry peers. The criteria also requires candidates author several safety-related case studies and hold a degree of higher education in a technical field.
