June 6, 2012 - R. Stahl introduces 8252 series explosion-proof housings with Ex d protection that can be used as junction boxes or control boxes in zones 1, 2, 21, and 22. Manufactured from a copper-free, seawater-proof aluminium alloy, the powder-coated terminal boxes withstand even extreme temperatures between -60 and +70 °C.
The boxes feature relevant certifications, allowing users to create compact controller solutions, e.g. with electronic modules and relays. Thanks to a silicone O-ring seal, the units ensure IP66 protection. Designed for wall or pipe mounting, the terminal boxes are available in four standard sizes with drillings for quick and easy wall installation.
Additionally, the housings can be delivered with a pre-assembled DIN rail for standard terminals or with a mounting plate. If required, R. Stahl also provides empty housings as well as fully equipped versions including terminals.
Various configurations are available, e.g. with hubs on three or on all four sides and, if required, also on the bottom. Users can choose between metric and NPT threads.
