SIXNET announces RTU for utility industry applications
The mini-IPm PLUS has Ethernet, up to 4 serial ports and a built-in mix of 26 discrete and analog I/O. It is pre-loaded with open-source Linux and the IPm firmware which offers automation, control and data acquisition capabilities. For utility applications, IPm+ also includes pre-loaded software for AGA gas flow calculations and DNP-3 time stamped communications. -

The new Series NL1 mini air preparation units from Rexroth are fully modular and customizable. The units are easy to assemble (without tools), and easy to install and maintain. Analytical Technology introduces Odor monitoring system for H2S
Q45S provides continuous monitoring of H2S (hydrogen sulphide) in wet conditions. A flexible monitoring capability allows measurements to be made either at the inlet to scrubber systems, where concentrations can run as high as 200 PPM, or at the outlet, where concentrations are ideally below 0.5 PPM. Special sensor configurations are also available for either duct insertion or flowcell use. -

Online Development releases module to connect plant floor devices to SQL Servers
The xCoupler module snaps into a ControlLogix PAC (programmable automation controller) from Rockwell Automation and provides bi-directional data translation between plant floor devices and SQL Server 2005 databases connected to the module via Ethernet. The module can be set up to configure specific plant floor devices, such as robots, sensors, bar code scanners and controls, with a database to develop commands, reports, alerts and other instructions.
